Isaac Fisk, born 1820, Holden, Massachusetts, Died September 17th, 1894. Manufacturer and importer of primarily brass musical instruments, located in Massachusetts, he was a vital part of the Massachusetts community of instrument makers that existed at the time. While relatively rare his cornets are the most common, but during his career he was also known for other instruments in the brass family, including rear facing bell military instruments. We have several Isaac Fiske items and images in our family collection, catalogs, and flyers. This one is from a catalog probably 1890’s. Fiske held several important patents for valve improvements. In May of 1887, Fiske sold the company to C. G. Conn. If you’re a vintage horn fan or love someone who is, our Issac Fiske Mug LB is a perfect gift item. Whether you’re drinking your morning coffee, evening tea, or something in between – this mug’s for you! It’s sturdy and glossy with a vivid print that’ll withstand the microwave and dishwasher.
